I was not in the mood for anything this morning so I just read some entertainment news. Then I saw this:

No, I’m not a fan of Jessica. What intrigued me is this “healthy beer”. Everybody knows I am not a fan of brandy, I always prefer a bottle of beer (SanMig Light in particular) while the rest enjoy a brandy - in any occasion.

According to this blog, Nick Lachey’s ex-wife, Jessica Simpson, is going to endorse a brand of alcoholic drink. And it’s not just a beer, it’s a vitamin enriched beer! Now, I wonder. Are there really any “healthy ingredient” or any vitamins contained in this beer?

Let me share with you my not-so-sweet experience last June 19.

It was a very ordinary day. We’ll that’s what I thought…I was not aware (well nobody does) that it’ll be our last day of work in our beloved MBS Tek aka US Auto Parts Network, Legazpi Office.

I remember, that day - I was rushing to the office as usual. It was around 8:45 in the morning. And I was a bit surprised to know that the managers were there and we were not informed about their arrival. I just thought to myself “it must be a surprise visit.” I was indeed surprised because “the Dancing King” Country Manager and VP for Marketing was there…along with the CFO - Michael Mclane(It was my first and last sighting of this giant btw) and Butanding herself. I was even ranting that I was not wearing a “smart/casual/semi-formal/ whatever attire” because the legendary HR Officers did not inform us.

After 10 minutes of logging in and preparing for work (or at least pretending to), I noticed the “very famous” Operations Manager Sir Joel calling my team members one by one. And it seemed to me that they are being called by Marc, the VP for Marketing (Phils.) in order to talk to them. I said to myself, there’s something totally weird about what’s going on. So I asked Sir Joel about the fuss, and he said Marc’s going to talk to all of us.

So okay, it’s clear to me. Marc’s always like that. He talks to us – including the TLs(Team Leaders) to check on things. But wait, he’s going to talk to regular employees too. That’s really unusual! And that’s when Sir Joel came back to me and said, “Raziel..Marc will talk to you first” in a very sweet voice.

Not me, this blog. It was dead for 2 weeks, and it also get back to life 2 weeks ago but still remain idle and outdated because it was recovering from so much pain, and waits for the wounds to heal.

 Let me explain. My “free hosting provider” expires right after the day I lost my job (yeah, I am jobless in case you don’t know yet). So, this blog was dead for 2 weeks. I think it was better that way, or I might not blog something good about what happened to me a month ago (which I will share to you in a different post, but not now–those stories are still in my draft, thinking if it should be published or not).

Amazing! This Floro Dery is

If you haven’t heard of Floro Dery, then here’s your chance to know him. He’s the man behind the original Transformers, both in movie and cartoons. And he is a big time Pinoy baby, as in with 100% Filipino blood. He worked as the design supervisor and the character designer at Marvel Studios. He also designed all the human characters in the movie and series. And that includes all the incidental robot and human designs in the series.

Floro Dery, an extraordinary artist from the Philippines, is a modern Renaissance Man. Aside from being a painter, he is also a comics illustrator who illustrated the syndicated Sunday ‘Spider-Man’ from 1982 to 1992. He is also a designer. Two of his older fantasy designs, which were notably exceptional, were ‘The Pirates of Dark Water’ and ‘Wildfire’. He was also the original concept designer of ‘The Transformers, the Movie’ and the toys associated with it.

Recently, a friend of mine told me a mind-blowing credit card fraud. Last month, she activated her new credit card. But she made sure that she will not use it except for paying her phone bills. Her first monthly bill came and fainted for her bills. She has to pay a whooping Php18,000 by the credit card provider, for purchases that obviously she hasn’t made. Now, she filed a request for an investigation and she has to wait for 3 months before the credit card provider resolve the issue. But what if the thief is not traced, I guess she has no choice but to pay the bill. Now, that’s sad.
